FireNet Designs Inc. ("FireNet", "we", "us") is a web design and development company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit firenetdesigns.ca or work with us, why we collect it, and where it goes. Plain English, no legal maze.

1. Information You Give Us

When you fill out a form, start a chat, book a call, or email us, we collect what you type: typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, store URL, and your message. If you become a client, we also collect the billing and project details needed to run the engagement. We ask for what we need to answer you and scope the work, nothing more.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how the site is used:

  • Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, records the pages you visit, how you got here, your device and browser, and your approximate location based on IP address.
  • Microsoft Clarity records heatmaps and session replays (clicks, scrolls, and mouse movement) so we can see where the site helps and where it confuses.
  • Webflow, our hosting provider, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and request data.

3. The Services We Rely On

These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Webflow: website hosting.
  • Google: Analytics, Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA v3 for spam protection on our forms (subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service), Fonts, and Workspace for email.
  • Microsoft: Clarity behavior analytics.
  • Pipedrive: our CRM. The contact forms and the chat widget on this site run on Pipedrive, so what you submit there goes straight into our CRM.
  • Xero: invoicing and accounting for client billing.
  • Cloudflare: DNS and network security.
  • FireNet Reviews: our own widget that displays our public Google reviews. It shows data; it does not collect yours.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising or remarketing pixels on this site.

4. How We Use Your Information

To respond to inquiries, scope and deliver projects, send invoices, improve the website, keep spam out of our forms, and meet legal obligations. That is the whole list.

5. Google User Data

FireNet builds software, including applications published with Google, that connects to Google services such as Gmail and Google Drive through Google APIs. These tools only access a Google account with the account owner's explicit OAuth authorization, and only the data needed to provide the feature the account owner asked for.

FireNet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice that means Google user data is used only to provide the features the account owner requested. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to train generalized AI or machine learning models. No human reads it except with the account owner's permission, when needed for security or debugging, or when the law requires it. You can revoke an application's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Cookies

Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and reCAPTCHA set cookies or use similar technologies to do their jobs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them.

7. How Long We Keep It

Inquiries and CRM records are kept as long as there is a business reason to keep them. Financial records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires. Analytics data is retained according to each tool's standard retention settings.

8. Where Your Data Lives

The providers listed above store data in Canada and the United States. By using this site, you consent to your information being processed in those locations.

9. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. Email info@firenetdesigns.ca and we will handle it. You can also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are visiting from a region with additional privacy rights, such as the EEA or the UK, those rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection) apply to you too, through the same email.

10. Client and Project Data

When a client hires us, we may access their store, analytics, and platform data to deliver the work. That data belongs to the client. We use it only for the engagement, protect it under our agreements, and never disclose one client's information to another.

11. Changes to This Policy

When this policy changes, we will post the update here and change the date at the top of this page.
