FireNet Designs Nominated for a 2027 Consumer Choice Award for Web Design in Winnipeg

The certificate landed on my desk this week: FireNet Designs has been nominated for a 2027 Consumer Choice Award in the Web Design category for Winnipeg. We are the only web design company in the city named in this category.

What the Consumer Choice Award is

The Consumer Choice Award has recognized Canadian businesses since 1987, and the selection process is the part we respect: independent market research across consumers and businesses in each city. There is no entry form and no jury of marketing people. Winnipeg was surveyed, and our name came back.

That detail matters more to us than any trophy. Winnipeg has plenty of agencies and freelancers doing web design, and the research landed on one name in this category. You only get picked like that when the people you built for keep saying your name after the invoice is paid.

Who actually earned this

The nomination has our company name on it, but it belongs to the people behind the builds: the developers who answer their own messages, the designers who make templates look like brands, and the QA pass that breaks things on purpose so customers never see them.
