In the summer of 2023, Follow Your Legend (FYL) approached FireNet Designs with a vision: to create an interactive app experience that seamlessly connected their physical products to digital engagement.
The objective was clear—utilize NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to encourage app signups and capitalize on push notifications, a cost-effective alternative to SMS marketing.
Collaborating with Kevin, FYL's founder, we designed a system where each product was embedded with an NFC chip. Upon scanning, users were directed to a unique URL associated with their customer identity, enabling personalized interactions and streamlined app onboarding.
FireNet Designs handled the frontend development, ensuring a user-friendly interface and seamless integration with FYL's existing Tapcart-powered app. Our partners at Uptocode.ca managed the backend infrastructure, facilitating secure data handling and efficient user association.
The result was a resounding success. FYL experienced a significant increase in app signups, enhanced customer engagement through targeted push notifications, and a strengthened connection between their products and digital platform.
